F@H's features a haunted Hemingway Birthplace so join us for an evening of literary ghost stories read by Chicago area writers. Featured authors include:
Faisal Mohyuddin is the author of The Displaced Children of Displaced Children (Eyewear Publishing, 2018) and the chapbook The Riddle of Longing (Backbone Press, 2017). The recipient of an Illinois Arts Council Literary Award, Prairie Schooner's Edward Stanley Award, and a Gwendolyn Brooks Poetry Prize, he teaches English at Highland Park High School in suburban Chicago and at the School of Professional Studies at Northwestern University, and he serves as an educator adviser to the global-not-for-profit Narrative 4. He lives in Oak Park, Illinois.
Anca L. Szilágyi is the author of the novel Daughters of the Air, which Shelf Awareness called "a striking debut from a writer to watch" and The Seattle Review of Books called "a creation of unearthly talents." Dreams Under Glass, her second novel, releases in September 2022. Her writing appears in Orion Magazine, Lilith Magazine, and Los Angeles Review of Books, among other publications. She is the recipient of fellowships and awards from Made at Hugo House, Jack Straw Cultural Center, 4Culture, Artist Trust, and Vermont Studio Center. Originally from Brooklyn, she has lived in Montreal, Seattle, and now Chicago, where she teaches creative writing.
Jennifer Solheim’s short fiction has earned recognition in contests held by Glimmer Train and Craft, and her fiction and essays have been published in Bellevue Literary Review, Confrontation, The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Pinch,and Poets & Writers. One of her stories in BLR was performed at their Page to Stage series at the NYU Langone School. She was longlisted for the Granum Fellowship Prize. She serves as Associate Director of the BookEnds novel revision fellowship at Stony Brook University, co-directed by Susan Merrell and Meg Wolitzer.
