Hemingway: Journalism + War,  a virtual discussion with award-winning filmmakers Ken Burns and Lynn Novick and Hemingway scholar Alex Vernon. Moderated by Kansas City Star columnist Melinda Henneberger, the conversation will focus on the influence of journalism and war on Ernest Hemingway’s body of work. This event precedes the premiere of Hemingway, a three-part, six-hour documentary series, directed by Burns and Novick, that weaves together a study of the famed author’s life, as well as interviews with celebrated writers, scholars, and Hemingway’s son, Patrick.
